Description
The Piano Miniatures are a collection of works for piano. The pieces are each individually based on a different chapter in the book Understanding Post-Tonal Music by Miguel Roig-Francoli. Each chapter deals with different compositional techniques that became popularized by many well-known composers of the 20th Century, such as Igor Stravinsky, Paul Hindemith, Bela Bartok, and Claude Debussy. The Five Piano Miniatures employ a wide range of styles, from impressionism, polytonality, atonality, and the use of pitch-class sets.
